It has come to our attention that the Vietnam Veterans Facebook page has been wiped of its content.

This follows the announcement made by Facebook this morning indicating that they have blocked Australian news outlets from posting on the platform. It comes after a long period of negotiation between Facebook and the Federal Government concerning paid rights to news content.

Unfortunately, it appears our page has been caught in the crossfire, despite not falling under the umbrella of a news or current affair page. We have since learned that the list of criteria for blocking pages at present is quite broad.

While we cannot currently use our Facebook page, we are working to remedy this and will keep you updated as we receive new information.
