Connie was born in Italy and moved to Australian in 1929 when she was seven years old to be with her dad who worked on fishing trawlers.

Connie worked with a chemical company and in a fruit shop during her 20’s but went on to marry and have six children. They settled down and ran a poultry farm in Warnervale from 1954.
