This photo was taken when Brenda was just 16 years old at the Marrickville Town Hall.

Brenda was a Tenor drummer in the NSW Highland Pipers. Brenda left school at 15, completed her secretarial course and began working and performing with the group. Brenda also competed against other bands, and won 1st place in the Highland Gathering competition!
