Vietnam Veterans Keith Payne VC Hostel was established after the welcome home parade for Vietnam Veterans in 1987.
Following this parade the Central Coast and Hunter Valley Vietnam Forces Association decided to build a living memorial to all those who served. With the generous assistance from Brisbane Water (NSW) Legacy the facility opened in 1991 as a 40 bed low care facility. Since then a further 16 beds were added in 2007 and finally 20 beds were completed in March 2013.

Whilst adding further accommodation was important so was the need to establish a community presence. In 2008 Community Assistance Solutions was established. This service is available to all the community and provides in-home care as well as lawn and maintenance services, daily hot food deliveries and transport services. No lock in contracts, fresh food daily and reliable services means that no matter whether its permanent residence or independence at home you’re looking for VVKPVCH can provide you with peace of mind and time to enjoy your lifestyle.
